Allotments

Picture
In 1947, Major Bouch of Ashorne, gifted land for allotments to the Parish.  In section 2 of the grant documentation it says:

It is hereby agreed and declared that the Council shall hold the property hereby assured to be used as allotments for the benefit of the inhabitants of Ashorne with all the powers conferred by the Local Government Act 1933 or any statutory modification thereof.

The land, in Ashorne, was subsequently split into parcels and is available for residents to rent at a nominal fee each year.  If you are interested in knowing more about becoming an allotment holder, please contact the Parish Clerk using the Contact Us page.
