VASA Need You!

22/12/2020

We need volunteers to help get local patients to receive the Coronavirus vaccination.

Have you got some spare time during the day?

We expect to be very busy in January, February, and March once the vaccination programme begins to roll out. We are going to need many more:

Volunteer drivers: If you have a clean driving license and would like to help people in your community who would otherwise struggle to get to their vaccination appointment and home again, please get in touch. 45p mileage costs paid.

Telephone operators: Have you got your own computer, decent admin skills and like talking on the telephone? We need plenty of people to help take transport bookings to vaccination appointments. If you could spare one or two mornings or afternoons a week we would love to hear from you? Volunteering from home with training & support.

To help, please call 01789 262889 or email recruitment@vasa.org.uk

NP&A: 2020 vision book NOW available

4/12/2020

Thanks to everyone who has contributed photographs and information about houses in Newbold Pacey and Ashorne!  We are now taking orders for the book.

‘Newbold Pacey and Ashorne: 2020 vision’ is a beautiful book of nearly 50 pages of photographs and stories of the houses and households as they are in 2020.  It is a reference point for future generations wishing to research both Newbold Pacey and Ashorne, as well as providing a memory for all those currently living in the villages.

You can choose between the coloured and bound paperback version at £22.50, or printed copies of the individual pages held together with a removable spine at £14.99. All profits from these books will be divided equally between Newbold Pacey and Ashorne Village Hall and St George’s Church, Newbold Pacey.

Please fill in the order form and return to Kate Freeman at kate@freeman.org.uk as soon as possible and no later than 15.12.20.

Once total numbers are known,  final printing will take place and hopefully the books will be available before Christmas.

Payment is required on hand-delivery of these books.  (No postage costs have been included in these figures).
