Our Commitment to Transparency
The Local Government Transparency Code 2015, placed more power into citizens’ hands to increase democratic accountability. Transparency gives local people the tools and information they need to hold public bodies to account.
As a smaller authority with an annual turnover not exceeding £25,000, Newbold Pacey & Ashorne Parish Council is exempt from routine audit. The transparency requirements in the Code replace this function by enabling local electors and ratepayers access to relevant information about our accounts and governance. This requirement supplements and in no way replaces or supersedes the existing legal framework for access to public information.
To meet the requirements of the Transparency Code, the following information is available on our website for the year just gone (and previous years). Please click on the heading to be taken to the relevant page.
